Vassar may god bless you, There was never a person I enjoyed so much when you showed up in san Pablo Ca. With the Caffery Family and played with them. Then you asked me to MC your show with them at the Great American Music Hall in San Fran.with the Cafferys then You came to my house and went to the garage to play pool with my children. Then the next morning you showed up to get your pipe you left behind. I will never forget you there will never be another.

I remember back in the 70's going to the Stanhope House in Stanhope, NJ for a Vassar show. Took some photos throughout the show. What a great show. After the show sneaking up stares to meet him, shook his hand and hung out for a bit. What a friendly guy. The only bad part was that when I got upstairs I had no more film in my camera. What a photo that would of been, Vassar and me.
