Vassar Clements
Vassar Clements was truly an exceptional man. He remains one of the most talented fiddle players to have graced the stage, the airwaves, and countless recordings. Vassar was a genuine southern gentleman, fully living his Christian values with humility and grace. He enjoyed playing and sharing his musical gift with both celebrity musicians and young bands and enjoyed meeting people from all walks of life. He had more friends than he could count and loved every one of them. Vassar passed in August of 2005.
Millie Clements
Millie Clements was the other half of Vassillie (Vassar and Millie), which is engraved in Mother of Pearl on the neck of Vassar's fiddle. As Vassar's wife and business manager, Millie touched and influenced and inspired Vassar's music more than anyone else. After an unexpected illness, Millie passed in July of 1998.
